Military Grade, Closed Volume Hydraulic Tanks for Mobility Systems
CVTANK® transforms conventional hydraulic circuits into closed-volume hydraulic systems, storing only the precise amount of oil required for operation — no excess, no waste.
The system functions as a low-pressure accumulator, delivering stable and highly controlled inlet pressure to the pump at all times. This ensures consistent suction conditions and allows pumps to operate at maximum flow capacity without risk of cavitation.
By eliminating traditional open reservoirs, CVTANK® removes many common failure points and design constraints associated with conventional tank systems.

CVTANK® enables a more compact, efficient powerpack design by eliminating the need for large external reservoirs and suction plumbing.
It can be installed directly near the return line, allowing flexible integration within the hydraulic system layout.
In a typical 8x8 defense vehicle application, CVTANK® reduces total hydraulic fluid volume from approximately 250 liters to just 30 liters, significantly lowering weight and system complexity.
A CVTANK®-equipped powerpack can also be operated on the shop floor without any external hydraulic supply, enabling easier testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Breather
None
At least one
Welding
None
Welded manufacturing with several different machining
Level measurement
Pressure sensor (0-1 bar) or visual control.
Float or level switch. It can’t give right information at the slope or during sloshing.
Location on the machine
Any location, In or above the vehicle.
The closest point to the pump suction ports.
Sloshing
Not affected from sloshing.
Detailed analysis and baffle plate design is required.
Maintenance
Visual checks. Traps particles out of suction ports with easy dump.
Large flat surfaces, lot of stagnation areas, specific design effort to have access door for cleaning.
Installation
Easy installation.
Complex installation.
Leakage
Hermetically sealed. If a leakage occurs in the system, it can be monitored via pressure sensor. It has designed to pass AECTP 400 (Edition 3) ANNEX B 401 vibration test.
Welding seams, level glasses, breather etc. puts leakage risks. They mostly not tested against vibration tests.
Fluid volume
Reduced to 30 liters.
250 liters.
Change Procedure
It can be changes without significant oil loss from the system as LRU.
Probably whole powerpack needs to be uninstalled from the vehicle.
CVTANK® is backed by over 20 years of hydraulic system design experience across defense land vehicles and railway applications.
The technology has been successfully integrated on eight different mobility platforms, including 4×4, 6×6, 8×8, tracked vehicles, and locomotives.
CVTANK® is combat-proven and validated in both tropical and desert environments, demonstrating reliable performance under extreme temperature, terrain, and duty-cycle conditions.
